Some things in your home only need to be cleaned once a year. Don’t forget them! Leaving them for another year could cause damage and extra wear. Not to mention the germs and dirt left to accumulate.

Bring your once-a-year items into Hangers Cleaners and we’ll have them fresh and ready for another year of use.

1. Upholstery.

Your comfy couch needs to be cleaned at least once a year to remove allergens, dirt, and more. This deep clean will help keep your cozy furniture from wearing down. Making the furniture you’ve invested in last longer.

Remove your cushions and send them to Hangers Cleaners to be dry cleaned. The upholstery that is not removable may need to be professionally cleaned.

While you are cleaning your cushions, give the floor beneath the couch some attention. Now is a great time to clean under heavy furniture. Time to retrieve all those toys your pet has stashed away.

2. Window trimmings.

Even with regular care, your curtains collect dust. Take them down and clean them at least once a year. This will keep them looking fresh. Just like furniture, a yearly deep cleaning will help them last longer.

3. Porch and patio furniture.

Your outdoor furniture is durable to last the elements. To keep it in shape it needs to be cleaned once a year.

How you clean your outdoor furniture will vary greatly depending on what kind of furniture it is. Some have cushions that can be sent off to the dry cleaners. Some have metal frames that can withstand being cleaned with a pressure washer. Make sure you do some research before you give your outdoor furniture a tough cleaning.

4. Washing machine and dryer.

Your washer and dryer need to be cleaned at least once a year. They should be cleaned more often if they are heavily used.

Don’t forget to clean out your dryer’s exhaust vent and lint filter. The lint filter could use a good cleaning. Gently clean the lint filter with soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly. You may need special tools to clean the exhaust vent.

5. Junk drawers and cabinets.

Now is a great time to evaluate the contents of your junk drawer. Take everything out. Clean the drawer. Only put back what you definitely think you will most likely need some day.

Many of your cabinets house kitchen tools and supplies that you only use on occasion. Once a year, it is a good idea to take these items out and get rid of any dust that may have settled.
